How can I help?

Volunteer

There are many volunteer opportunities available, and we work hard to place people where they are most useful and effective. Shared Pregnancy would not be able to function without the help of the many volunteers that donate their time and talent.

If you would like more information about volunteering, donations, or other forms of support please contact our office at 517-484-1882. Thank you!

Please fill out our Volunteer Application.

Applications can be emailed to volunteer@sharedpregnancy.org. They can also be mailed to our office at 831 N. Washington Ave., Lansing, MI 48906.

Items

You can support moms, babies, and families by donating very basic baby necessities such as diapers, wipes, and toiletries. We are also in need of new or gently used baby items, gear/equipment, baby furniture, and maternity clothes. Here is a list of items we offer.

Many families rely on the items they earn through our educational program to help provide basic needs for their children. Shared Pregnancy does not purchase any of the items that clients receive. Therefore, we rely on generous donations from people like you to help meet the needs of our families.

Items purchased from our Amazon Wishlist  can even be mailed directly to the center!

I have baby items to drop off, where can I bring them?

Donations can be dropped off at our Downtown office between the first and the fifteenth of each month during business hours. Click here for times and our location.

What do you stand for? What do you do?

Shared Pregnancy is committed to helping women in unexpected or challenging pregnancies in Lansing and the surrounding areas. Pregnancy is one of the most vulnerable moments in a woman’s life and we want to be there to listen and support her. We assist pregnant women by offering free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, options information, and a Learn & Earn program for continued emotional and material support.

How will Shared Pregnancy use my donation?

Shared Pregnancy uses donations to fund all our free services: from pregnancy tests, to ultrasounds, to our Learn & Earn Program, clients can “earn” points by attending parenting classes or watching parenting videos. They are then able to “spend” those points to get necessities for their baby or young child.

How do I know Shared Pregnancy will use my donation wisely?

Shared Pregnancy operates under a board of directors that preside over financial decisions. This brings not only accountability, but also support through our community.
